As we celebrate 25 years of farmerswife, we’re thrilled to share stories from our incredible community. Here’s Sergio’s journey, which began in 2004 and continues today. From his first encounter with the system at Molinare Madrid to implementing it at WEWORK Factory, it’s been a pleasure being part of his professional path.
How and When Did You Get to Know the System?
I started working with farmerswife in 2004, in my first job at Molinare Madrid, an audiovisual post-production company. Molinare was one of the most important post-production studios in Spain, and the volume of projects and clients was top-tier at the time.
Before using farmerswife, the production department used giant notebooks, approximately A2 size, where projects and the technicians assigned to each were written week by week. To make it more visual, each worker had a sticker with a specific shape and color. But of course, the stickers would sometimes lose their stickiness and fall off.
And that was just the way we booked rooms. To document project details and track what each worker had done, we used delivery notes with multiple carbon copy sheets. The planned work was written in, and once finished, the technician would fill in what had actually been done. Additionally, the physical materials used were also noted.
But in 2004, our lives improved—we started to digitize all the information and unify all new projects in farmerswife. This included administration, sales, production, and technicians. The workload was significantly reduced, especially for the more mechanical tasks.
Which Companies Have You Used farmerswife In?
After working for 10 years with farmerswife at Molinare, I worked at other companies with similar software. But none quite matched my way of working. They were less intuitive, less visually appealing, and making any changes to staff, times, or bookings required many more steps than with farmerswife. With farmerswife, you can make changes with a single move—shift the schedule, the room, or even the day—making it so much easier to handle frequent client-driven changes, which ultimately affect the entire company’s management structure.
By 2013, I began working at WEWORK Factory. Just like the early days at Molinare, we didn’t have a global management tool for all company actions and departments. So I spoke with the directors, and after a few meetings with the farmerwife’s team, we took the step to implement the software in our company. At first we were just a few, but we grew quickly, and farmerswife helped us establish increasingly agile workflows between departments. It allowed us to access information first-hand in a super intuitive way.

How You’re Using It Now and the Benefits You’ve Seen
Currently, we use farmerswife across multiple departments: production, accounting, technical team, and management.
Over time, and with help from farmerswife staff like Alejandra, we’ve refined and developed increasingly effective ways to work across all departments.
For me, one of the most important things is being able to store all the information. So that whenever we need to retrieve an old project or review a colleague’s work, anyone can find the information and understand every step that was taken. Although we often overlook it, in stressful situations like these, having a tool that lets you recover information and see who did what, when, and how—well, from my point of view, that gives you total peace of mind in your day-to-day.

How’s the Support Team?
We’re absolutely delighted, for several reasons. First, our main contact speaks Spanish, which makes communication much smoother for us. Second, one of the technical team members, Alejandra, is an expert in audiovisual post-production studios. She’s always willing to lend a hand and help us create new workflows and better ways to manage information. After so many years, we consider Alejandra part of the team, even though she’s not officially with our company.
Plus, whenever we have questions or need help, the response is immediate and the communication is very personal. It’s clear that everyone at farmer’s knows what they’re talking about and how their tool can be used.
